This project has been encumbered with numerous road blocks along the way, but we have marched on without question. We knew that not everyone would be accepting of our content. As I type this, it pains me to think how bringing to light the plight of a people could strike such a raw nerve in the local community. It is no doubt more comfortable for people to not be faced with these social problems in our society, but pleading ignorance of the issue is no longer going to be an option. Everyone will hear about the issue of homelessness. What they choose to do with their freshly imparted knowledge is up to the individual.
I don’t want to lead you to believe that no one has been receptive of our project, because that is quite the contrary. Those in opposition are the minority. We recently spoke to Leetown Baptist Church and the reception was very encouraging. We will continue spreading the word about our project through the local faith based communities and any other audience who will listen.
